Catalog 1

Catalog 1 is a joint venture between Time-Warner Entertainment Company, LP and catalog retailer Spiegel. The goal of Catalog 1 is to bring upscale cataloger's closer to customers, offering fashion and accessories for the 25-55 year old woman, her family and home. Participants on the shopping service include Spiegel, eddie Bauer, Neiman Marcus, Crate & Barrel, Williams-Sonoma, The Sharper Image, The Nature Company, The Bombay Company, Book-of-the-Month Club and Time Warner Viewer's Edge.

Catalog 1 appears on Time Warner's Full Service Network. It was first tested as a 24-hour shopping service in portions of Ohio, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Catalog 1 has now re-directed its efforts, turning the television shopping venture into a Saturday morning format. Catalog 1 also plans to launch a World Wide Web Site

It has formed the Interactive Merchants' Association, which provides interactive retail-oriented services ranging from product presentation to order processing.
