The Message Oriented Middleware Association (MOMA) is a worldwide association of users, suppliers and consultants dedicated to enhancing the interoperability and functionality of distributed and client-server computing environments through message-oriented middleware. The SMDS Interest Group (SIG) is an industry association of service providers, equipment manufacturers, users and others working cooperatively to speed the proliferation and interoperability of SMDS services, products and applications. The Interest Group develops technical specifications,promotes awareness of SMDS, stimulates new applications for SMDS and ensures worldwide service interoperability together with is international affiliates. The Group was formed in 1990 and has established affiliates in Europe and the Pacific Rim.
